Tell me about the organization and what you do.
The mission of Connections is to work in partnership with youth, families, organizations, and volunteers to curate long-lasting, supportive mentoring relationships that improve self-worth for young adults with past, current, or peripheral contact with the child welfare or juvenile justice systems in New York City or Westchester County.

40+ current mentoring relationships across 9 different child welfare organizations
Where do you see your organization in the next five years or ten years?
With more funding, we could match more young people with mentors. Our goal is to continue to expand throughout the NYC area to serve the huge number of young adults who need one positive adult connection.

Nonprofit New York provides very helpful information about funding sources, news headlines, and helps us keep a pulse on the nonprofit community.
What are you currently working on that you want us to mention to our membership?
We accept referrals from across NYC and Westchester for any child who has system involvement and needs a positive, committed adult resource.
