The last three years suggest that making predictions about the new year being the best ever is probably not a great idea. There will undoubtedly be many challenges ahead, but I’m focusing on Maya Angelou’s thoughts on hope and fear - they cannot occupy the same space at the same time.

Tell me about the organization and what you do.
Nonprofits are trusted spaces in our communities and we must ensure that they have the tools they need to participate in voter engagement while continuing to be above the political fray. To honor this need, Community Votes, Nonprofit New York, and Nonprofit VOTE have partnered together to create the 2022 Voter Engagement Toolkit for 501(c)3 organizations.

Vaccination Requirements
The Supreme Court heard oral arguments January 7, 2022 on the Biden Administration’s vaccination requirements intended to cover nearly 100 million workers.
Dear Nonprofit New York Members,
As we look forward to 2022, we know that many things will be different in New York City. We will be working with a new Mayor, a new Comptroller, 5 new Borough Presidents, and 38 new City Council Members. There will be new faces and new energy in many of the City agencies that work closely with nonprofits, and at all levels of government, there will be a growing awareness of the advocacy potential of an increasingly organized and collaborative nonprofit sector.
