Dear Nonprofit New York community,
Original (3.5.20): Over the last month, we’ve heard a lot about the Coronavirus that is impacting communities around the world. As of today, there are several confirmed cases in New York City metro area, but the risk to New Yorkers is still considered to be low. At the moment there is no indication that we should adjust or suspend our upcoming events and trainings. However, we understand that this a rapidly changing situation. And should that change, we will respond accordingly and communicate our plans to you.
Update (3.9.20): News of coronavirus (COVID-19) is changing quickly and Nonprofit New York has a lot planned for March. The health and safety of our community is of utmost importance to us. So out of an abundance of caution, Nonprofit New York is postponing or moving online all meetings and events intended to be held in person in the month of March. For more information, check out our newest update here.

- Visit the CDC’s website for recommendations of the steps we can all take to prevent exposure to the Coronavirus.
- Get your flu shot.
- If you’re feeling sick, stay home.
Be Kind
Concerns about Coronavirus should focus on the facts and ensuring the safety of our families, colleagues, and communities. Coronavirus is not an excuse for racism and xenophobia. We urge you to be kind to one another always, but especially as we make sense of how this outbreak will impact our work and our lives.
